The mission of the Tennessee Prescription Safety Program (PSP) is to curtail abuse of prescription narcotics while assuring quality and accessibility of pain management services where medically appropriate.

The Tennessee Prescription Safety Program is a coordinated statewide strategy to address the phenomenon of prescription drug abuse in Tennessee through collaboration, education and technology. Because of the multi faceted nature of this problem, it requires a partnership that is as far reaching as the problem itself.
